Watch this video if you want to follow the steps to creating 2FA:
TRENDING FACEBOOK-HACK BY HACKERS
And How To Prevent Being Hacked
What is Two-factor Authentication (2FA)?
2FA is one of the security features that helps protect your
FB account in addition to your password. On setting up 2FA, you will be
required to enter a special security code that will be sent to your phone
number (the one you used for the setting up of the 2FA) each time someone or yourself tries logging
into your FB account from a new Computer, Mobile device or a device you don’t
recognize.
There are about six 2FA security features employed by
facebook, such as: Text Messege, Security Keys, Code Generator, Recovery Codes,
App Passwords etc. But what we would talk about is on the Text Message Security
feature, which is the best and easiest to me.
How You Are Hacked:
A youtube video is sent to you with a Caption/Title such as,
"Nine-Ninety is this video yours? 314,789 views". This will kick you
off your feet to find out what video it is. You will then be asked to Login
with your Facebook details (username and password) before you can watch...this
is where you ignorantly give them access to your account(that is if you log in).
How To Prevent Yourself From Getting Hacked:
1. Never trust or open any App or Video that demands you Log
In into your account with your FB Details.
2. Don't accept friends you do not know on FB
How To Regain Permanent Access To Your Account If You Have
Already Been Hacked:
1. Clear your Computer or Phone’s Cache immediately you find
out your account is hacked
2. Change your Password
3. Go to your FB Account Settings and enable 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) with a phone number you can easily
get back anytime you loose your account. This is to make sure you don't lock
yourself out of your account if your SIM gets lost or missing. 2FA is a setting
that gives you access to your FB Account Only after you have Logged in with
your Password and a Code that would be sent to your phone number.
4. As a way for you to be able to
retrieve your account whenever you forget your password, facebook gives you the
chance to choose three friends whom they would send 3
different codes to so you can unlock your account.
When hackers hack your account,
they add three of their personal accounts which they can always send the codes
to, to gain access to your account even when you change your password.
Therefore go to your friends list and Unfriend anyone you
are not sure you added or accepted as a friend.
To learn or know the process to set up
your 2FA, kindly click the link and watch a 2 minute video on YouTube and
follow the procedure.
